I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now, but havent really had the chance until tonight.. its a list of things ive dug up online while researching john mccain. everything that i’ve posted is linked back to its original source. some things are popular and “known” issues, and some really had my gobsmacked… its ridiculous the facts about john mccain that are not being reported by our media.

Things people might not know about our potential next president:

1. his adopted daughter is rumored to be his illegitimate daughter
2. he has a list of flip-flops (again, again, again, and just too many sites and flips to list here)

   3. tax cuts for the wealthy
   4. friendship with Jerry Falwell (who said US “deserved 911)
   5. use of Wyly’s finance money (ok for him, but not others)
   6. campaign finance reform
   7. ethanol use
   8. social security privatization
   9. defense spending
   10. first term balanced budget pledge
   11. medias treatment of H. Clinton
   12. estate taxes
   13. FISA, domestic surveillance, and telecom immunity
   14. restoration of the everglades
   15. divestment from south africa

3. he cheated on his first wife
4. his mistress is his second wife, cindy mccain
   • who was married for her: good looks, money, and political connections to jump start his career
5. he left his first wife, a former beauty queen, after she suffered an accident and lost her looks
6. he employs a white supremacist
7. ranked as the #1 most absent voting senator
8. believes Guantanamo Bay is “one of the nicest places in the world to live in”
   • (he later flip-flopped on this one too; naturally)
9. his voting record does NOT support our troops
10. believes health insurance should cover viagra for men, but not birth control for women
11. rumored to have had an affair with a female lobbyists
    • (this isnt so far fetched to believe since he did cheat on his first wife; see 3)
    • who he has also written letters on behalf of said lobbyist in order to sway government politics
      • (ie; he’s working for lobbyists, not the people)
12. he is also #1 in most lobbyists on staff
13. his lobbyist-tied plane flew saudi royals OUT of the US immediately after 911
14. one of his consultants’ wife worked for Libya’s terrorist regime (Muammar Gaddafi; Libyan dictator)
    • (and im sure youre starting to see how he feels about lobbyists)
15. his home state of Arizona has been invaded over forty (40) times by the Mexican military this year alone
    • (this is mysteriously not reported in the US, but is reported in the UK)
      
16. even a sheriff in ohio is questioning mccain’s stance on illegal immigration
    
17. he wants to bomb iran
18. and he doesnt like russia either
    • (can anyone say “cold war II”?)
      
19. he doesnt live up to his self-given “maverick” nickname
20. sues family with his mom, then swears on a bible there was no lawsuit

      • (yes, she STOLE from her OWN charity!)

      • (this occured in the summer of 08; so she’s still up to her thieving ways)

      • (yes, joe nobody wrote parts of that speech you just heard on msnbc, cnn, fox, and your local news channels)

29. believes we’re in a “mental recession” and that we’re a “nation of whiners”
    
    • (there isnt a real one, we just think there is one, plus we’re whinners. im sure insulting the voters will help him win the 08 election)

    • (ie; he’s a drunk and he likes screwing about. see 3)
      
31. attempted suicide and suffers from post traumatic stress syndrome (ptss) (again, again, )

    • but he still makes fun of it and treats the general subject of suicide as a joke

    • many question his mental health and ability to handle the position of the presidency due to his PTSS

34. Senator Thad Cochran of Mississippi who has known mccain for 35 years says “The thought of [McCain] being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me.”
35. he doesnt know the difference between iraq and afghanistan or somalia and sudan
36. voted NO for keeping and expanding state Children’s Health Insurance Program (chip)
37. voted NO to increasing title 1 grants and closing corporate loop-holes
38. doesn’t want to raise the minimum wage
39. is doing everything he can to keep money in the pockets of exxon
40. he flat out lies about obama and his stances

    • obama the reason for rising gas prices

    • obama will raise taxes
    • obama believe iran is a “tiny” threat

    • perfect voting record with veterans of foreign wars, american legion
    • iran is after nuclear weapons
    • gas price relief here and now
    • hillary and obama never had anything to do with issues on climate issues
    • democrats budget would raise taxes
    • “common knowledge” that al-qaida is training in iran
      
    • won the majority of the vote in the republican races in south carolina and new hampshire
    • never been involved in any pork barrel or earmarked bills for the state of arizona
    • he was the only one who argued for a surge in troops in iraq
    • the State Children Health Insurance Program would cover “everybody”
      
    • $233million bridge to nowhere was built in alaska

but no, in all seriousness, i loooooove politics. i live eat, sleep, and breathe politics. i love these times when people start complaining… *coughs* exuse me.. i mean <i>campaigning</i>.. and you can go back and check their voting records, where they stood on positions a month ago, fuck, even their interviews from a day ago and watch how they flip-flop on the issues to pander to the voters. i love it!

so i was watching obama talk to meet the press the other day. i honestly got shivers. i feel this guy. he’s real. i trust him when he says he wants to take care of america. i honestly like him…  has he flipped on some issues? yes, but without a flop. he very convincingly stated why he would, not necessarily change his mind on a situation, but change the way he wished to handle a situation as it changed and developed.

but he’s young! so young!.. what can he do? what experience does he have?

i admit it.. i’m looking at a republican.. i’m really liking rudy giulani. im a little iffy on some of his stances, but overall i like what he did during his time as mayor in NYC. thank god i still have a year to think it over!
